Die Stiftung entwickelt, testet, begleitet, vermittelt und fördert insbesondere Innovationen im Bereich der assistiven Technologien, der künstlichen Intelligenz, digitaler Hilfsmittel, Wearables, Smart-Home- und Sensoriklösungen, intelligenter Brillensysteme, Kommunikations- und Orientierungshilfen sowie weiterer technischer und digitaler Anwendungen, welche die Inklusion, Mobilität, Sicherheit, Kommunikation und Autonomie von Menschen mit Beeinträchtigungen verbessern. Zur Verwirklichung ihres Zwecks kann die Stiftung das Labor selbst betreiben, Pilotprojekte und Realtests durchführen, Erkenntnisse dokumentieren und publizieren, Schulungs- und Beratungsangebote erbringen, Veranstaltungen organisieren, Kooperationen mit Unternehmen, Hochschulen, Gesundheits- und Sozialinstitutionen sowie öffentlichen Stellen eingehen, eigene Projekte initiieren und Projekte Dritter fördern und unterstützen. Die Stiftung ist in der ganzen Schweiz tätig. Sie kann auch im Ausland tätig werden. Die Stiftung verfolgt keinen Erwerbszweck und erstrebt keinen Gewinn.
